TRUE BLUE BAY BOUTIQUE RESORT/GRENADA
Which island do you travel to if you are a girl who just want to have fun and swim with turtles? You go to True Blue Bay Boutique Resort in Grenada, in the West Indies. The dreamy resort will feel like a paradise gained.
Seeing Squirrel Girl looking tired but rejuvenated after returning from her travel, Wind asked her, “Where have you been?”
Smiling dreamily Squirrel Girl said, “I went to see Sky.”
“You can see sky right here,” said Wind.
“No … not the sky above us … I went to see Sky, the bartender with a witty tongue on the island.”
“What is so special about Sky?”
“He spoke how he truly felt … He was as refreshing as the drinks that he made. Like the other people in Grenada, he was warm in that honest openness that did not overwhelm but made you feel that you needed to unwind and hear the songs of the turtles.”
“So … did you need unwinding?”
“I did not know that I was all ‘tied up’ until I went to the island … I allowed the island to allow me to feel as if I was a nothing that became everything, causing me to feel the island’s healing power.”
“What did you feel?”
“I felt the playfulness of the mountains that captured the clouds, causing them to rain on the flowers. And the mountains called out their welcome while the slippery baby fish bid me to swim in the water … then the palm trees blew in the wind and asked me to take a siesta.”
Chuckling, Wind said, “That wind may have been me … so the mountain, palm trees, and waters of Grenada are precious to you?”
“Yes … however, those are not the most precious things about the island …”
“So then, what were they?”
“The people of the island are the most precious: people at the resort, such as the bartender, a lady chocolate baker, and the helpful young male assistant, and additionally, the taxi driver that owned the sunniest smile.”
“Other than chasing after turtles’ songs, what else did you do on the island?”
“I watched beautiful women dancing and jumping joyously to the musicians’ music at True Blue resort … Like the Pied Piper, the musician was able to cause the women to hop to his enchanting tune.”
“Did you boogie, Squirrel Girl?”
“Funny … that was what Sky had asked … I just watched the dancing women and saw Sly Foxy smiling happily … and then I realized that Sly Foxy was not Sly Foxy anymore.”
“What had she become?” asked Wind.
“Wind, I think Sly Foxy had always been Tortoise.”
“Ah,” said Wind. “So, that is why the island had called to her …”
